W'boro City Pool Receives Facelift
Todd Ferguson has been heading up a work crew consisting of trustees from the Wayne County Jail for about six years. Last year they did the work on the newly finished and soon to be showcased Stage 64 at the Waynesboro City Park. This week they've been getting the pool ready for the season by sanding, painting and repairing. City manager John Hickman reiterated how grateful the community is to the Sheriff's office and these skilled workers, as well as other crews working throughout the county, for supplying many, many hours of labor, saving taxpayers many dollars and providing projects that couldn't have been done without their help. Inmates are seen above working with City Worker Todd Ferguson readying the community pool for the upcoming season, which officially opens Memorial Day weekend.
